Professor Melissa Lee Price

Digital Culture is a required module for students enrolled on the MA Interactive Multimedia Course at Staffordshire University. It is also offered to students studying Media and Culture. This year we will also be joined by students studying at University of Applied Sciences of Kemi-Tornio, Finland and students from Groupe ITIN-ESCIA, France.

As we rapidly move into a digital world, paradigm shifts are impacting both our social and economic structure. This module/class will introduce you to issues such as: technology use in education, copyright concerns in a digital age, social and economic access to technology, privacy, and self identity in a digital environment.

In completing the assigned projects you will demonstrate how these issues affect the solution to the brief. You will also experience and reflect on cross cultural collaboration in interactive multimedia design.
